Kayaking for beginners and for advanced kayakers.

Soča river is a popular kayaking destination. It offers different levels of difficulty (from level I to V) making it suitable for beginners as well as advanced kayakers. We offer whitewater kayaking courses and guided tours.

Our kayaking courses are ideal for all skill levels. We divide paddlers into small groups based on their skill level to ensure the learning progression will suit your needs. If you would like to join a guided tour we offer the sit-on-top kayak guided tour.

85,00 € / person – low season

90,00 € / person – high season

Low season: 1. April – 20. June. High season: 21. June – 31. October.

Included in the price: Experienced guide, safety briefing, kayaking equipment, round-trip transfer between our agency and the river, river permit, 22% VAT.

RESERVATION

Reservation is required by e-mail. Please note that we keep our groups small and therefore our tours can fill up quickly during peak season.

TIME ON THE RIVER: 2,5 h.
TIME OF THE ENTIRE ACTIVITY: 3,5 h.
AVAILABILITY: From 1. April to 31. October – every day, weather permitting.
DEPARTURES: By agreement.
MEETING TIME: 15 minutes before departure.
MEETING POINT: Outdoor Galaxy, Ledina 1, Bovec.

About kayaking on the Soča river

What are the restrictions and requirements?

Group size: 3-5 people.

Swimming: All participants must be able to swim.

Minimum age of the participant: 10 years.

Minimum height of the participant: 140 cm.

Maximum weight of the participant: women 115 kg, men 125 kg.

Maximum waist measure: 120 cm.

Minors: Minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Medical conditions: All participants with certain medical restrictions must consult Outdoor Galaxy staff before booking.

Pregnancy: This activity is not suitable for pregnant women.

Alcohol and drugs: It is not allowed to be under the influence of alcohol or other psychotropic substances during the activity.

What equipment do I need?

Equipment we provide: Helmet, life jacket, splash jacket, wetsuit and footwear, spraydeck, paddle and kayak.

Equipment you bring: Swimwear, towel.

Equipment you can bring: Contact lenses, prescription glasses with straps, sunscreen, medication, hair elastics.

What is the reservation process?

Reservation by e-mail is required. Each reservation is subject to the reservation terms, which are listed on the TERMS AND CONDITIONS page.

What happens in case of bad weather?

In case of very bad weather (storm, lightning), the activity is cancelled. We notify you of the cancellation and together we try to set a new date. If it is not possible to set a new date and the activity has been canceled from our side, we refund you the entire cost of the reservation.
